Mikael Temrowski (May 6, 1992), known by his stage name Quinn XCII, is an American songwriter and singer from Detroit, Michigan. He grew up listening to the musical history of City’s Motown. When he was in the third grade, he met his close friend Ayokay who became his primary producer. Quinn started taking an interest in recording music and writing while a sophomore studying at Michigan State University.
Quinn XCII started performing by the stage name, “Mike T.” He was uploading his performance videos on YouTube and started taking more interest in recording music and writing while attending Michigan State University around 2014. In May 2015, Quinn released his debut extended play titled “Change of Scenery.” His next single, “Stung,” reached number one on the popular charts of Hype Machine.
Quinn XCII became widely known in 2017 when he released his debut album, The Story of Us. The album featured catchy songs, such as "Straightjacket," that blended pop, hip-hop, reggae, and soul. His real name is Mikael Temrowski, and he started making music while in college in Michigan. His stage name is pronounced Quinn Ninety-Two. He picked it to stand for "Quit Unless Your Instincts Are Never Neglected" because 1992 was the year he was born. His music is upbeat but often includes honest lyrics about mental health, love, and growing up.
Before his first album, Temrowski started gaining fans by sharing songs on SoundCloud. He collaborated with his longtime friend and producer Ayokay, and together, they created several hit songs. As he grew, he put out more albums like From Michigan With Love in 2019 and A Letter to My Younger Self in 2020. His sound continued to evolve, yet always remained fun and personal. He has also collaborated with other artists, including Chelsea Cutler, Jeremy Zucker, and Logic—fans like how his music feels both real and easy to sing along with.
In 2025, Temrowski released a brand new album called All You Can Do Is Your Best. It came out in April and includes tracks like No Expectations, and You're My Person. He is now on the All You Can Do Is Your Best Tour, playing shows across the United States. In May, he performed in cities like Los Angeles, Denver, and Austin. The tour continues through the summer with high-energy shows and songs that make people dance, think, and feel good.
