Postmodern Jukebox Information
Originally formed in 2011 by New York-based pianist Scott Bradlee, Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ) is also known as Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox. Postmodern Jukebox is well-known for its ability to transform today's most famous songs into various retro styles, particularly those of the early 20th century, such as swing and jazz. Due to their lengthy discography and the large number of artists and performers involved, they have toured in North America, Europe, and Australia, frequently all at once.
In August 2017, PMJ took their first trip to South America, performing at four Brazilian and one Argentine venues. In April 2018, PMJ made their first appearances on the African continent with performances at the Jazz a Carthage Festival in Tunisia and the Jazzablanca Festival in Morocco.
In February of 2014, Robyn Adele Anderson and the Tee Tones fronted a doo-wop cover of "Timber" featured on BuzzFeed. The Los Angeles Times praised the band in April 2015 for Haley Reinhart's "stunning listen" of "Creep," Radiohead's seminal single from the 1990s. It was their most popular video, with over 105 million views as of April 2022.
