Pom Poko Information
Pom Poko is a Norwegian post-punk band. The current lineup of the group consists of Ola Djupvik (drums), Jonas Krovel (bass), Martin Tonne (guitar), and Ragnhild Fangel (lead vocals). The band was established in 2017. Due to the rapid rise in popularity, they were included on the list of "100 Bands to Watch" by NME in 2018. In 2019, Pom Poko became a member of the Bella Union roster after signing with a label in the United Kingdom. Their debut album, titled Birthday, was met with acclaim upon its release. They received widespread recognition for their second studio album, Cheater, released in 2021.
Pom Poko came together in 2017 and immediately became known for the quality of their live performances. As a result, NME included them on their list of "100 Bands to Watch" in that same year. 2019 marked the year that they joined Bella Union. The same year, they presented their first studio album, Birthday, which received favorable reviews. They received a lot of positive feedback for their second studio album, Cheater, which will be released in 2021. Pom Poko is the name of a Japanese animated film produced by Studio Ghibli in 1994 and released in the United States.
