Parmalee Information
Parmalee is an American country music band founded in 2001 that originated from Parmele, North Carolina. The music of the band is defined as rock and country. The current lineup of the group includes two brothers named Matt Thomas (lead vocals, guitar) and Scott Thomas (drums), along with their cousins Josh McSwain (guitar) and Barry Knox (bass). They have been best friends since childhood and signed to the Stoney Creek division of Broken Bow Records. The band has charted on Country Airplay, with New Voice Entertainment being its only associated act.
Daylight was the first EP by Parmalee that was released on December 3, 2002, and it successfully drew the attention of producer David Bendeth of RCA. The first release was followed by a full-length debut album entitled Inside. Released on June 15, 2004, the album was promoted for almost two years. Some other notable albums by Parmalee are Mildew or Barbecue? (December 14, 2006), Complicated (May 27, 2008), Feels Like Carolina (December 10, 2013), and 27861 (July 21, 2017).
The band also released many charting singles so far such as, “Musta Had a Good Time,” “Close Your Eyes,” “Already Callin’ You Mine,” “Roots,” “Sunday Morning,” “Hotdamalama,” “Be Alright,” and “Just the Way.” Parmalee was featured as a Billboard “Bubbling Under” artist in June 2012 and as Clear Channel’s NEW! Artist to Watch (Country).
