Parker Gispert Information
Parker Gispert (May 24, 1982) is an American lead singer of The Whigs. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia. Gispert completed his graduation from The Westminister School. In 2006, he further completed graduation from the University of Georgia with a degree in Philosophy. In 2002, he formed The Whigs. The group went on touring the world consistently from 2005 to 2015 as headliners. They also opened shows for Jason Isbell, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Black Keys, and Kings of Leon. The Whigs also appeared twice on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
In November 2018, Gispert released his debut solo album entitled Sunlight Tonight. The album was released through the New West Records subsidiary, Normaltown Records. The album was produced, engineered, and mixed by Grammy Award winner Emery Dobyns. The album also featured Faye Webster, Samul Dixon, Sol Seppy, and Patrick Carney. He supported his album by headlining club tours and support tours for Futurebirds, RNDM, SUSTO, and Valerie June.
Along with Alice Cooper and producer Bob Ezrin, Gispert also co-wrote “Private Public Breakdown.” It appeared on the Alice Cooper album entitled, Paranormal. Gispert released most of his work with The Whigs in his career.
