Palisades Information
Originally known as Marilyn Is Dead, Palisades formed in January 2008 and released their debut self-titled album in 2009. Later, in 2010 and 2011, the band's bassist, Chris Aleixo, and lead singer, Alex Farkas, were replaced by Brandon Sidney and Louis Miceli, respectively. After replacing their vocalist in August of that year, the band rebranded themselves as Palisades and independently released their debut extended play (EP), The Rise.
Later that year, Palisades was signed to Rise Records after the label heard their EP and its tracks "Immortal," "Bury It," and "Disclosure" (with Tyler Smith of The Word Alive). While the band was working on their full-length debut album, Rise Records re-released the EP in February 2012 under the title I'm Not Dying Today. The band spent all of 2012 traveling and recording their album, Outcasts, released in May 2013.
A single titled "Outcasts" was released to support the album, and the band went on tour alongside Capture The Crown, Heartist, and Famous Last Words. The first week's sales for Outcasts totaled just $181. A version of Beyoncé's "Drunk in Love" was among the many tracks the band released throughout 2014. The band decided to start recording their second album on May 28, 2014.
