Ozark Jubilee is an American network television program from the 1950s. It was better known for featuring country music’s top stars of the day. Ozark Jubilee was created by Ralph D. Foster and directed by Bryan T. Bisney. Red Foley played his role as a star in the program. This weekly live stage show premiered on January 22, 1955, on ABC-TV. On July 6, 1957, the program was renamed Country Music Jubilee, and on August 2, 1958, it was eventually named Jubilee USA.
A typical Ozark Jubilee program includes a mix of comedy routines, instrumental performances, and vocals. Red Foley, the show host, was recognized as one of the nation’s top country music personalities. He has been ranked number 5 on the Top Country Artist for the 1940s and 1950s. This live show features world-class fiddler and comedian Doofus Doolittle.
