One Ok Rock Information
One Ok Rock had its first big moment in 2005 when it formed in Tokyo, Japan. They became known for mixing punk rock, emo, and pop sounds with high energy and strong emotions. In 2007, they released their first full-length album, Zeitakubyo, which helped them gain notice in the Japanese rock scene. Their lead singer, Taka, stood out with his powerful voice and stage presence. The music was loud, raw, and full of heart, which quickly won them a growing fan base.
As the band grew, they began playing in larger venues and released more albums, including Niche Syndrome in 2010 and Jinsei×Boku= in 2013. These albums demonstrated the significant growth the band had undergone. Their songs had deeper lyrics, catchy hooks, and stronger melodies. They also began working with big producers and writing songs in both Japanese and English. This helped them reach fans outside of Japan. They toured in Europe and the United States, sharing stages with famous bands like Linkin Park and All Time Low. Their sound became smoother and more polished, yet it still retained its strong rock edge.
In 2025, One Ok Rock is on two big tours. Their DETOX North American Tour started on May 13 in Vancouver and ends on June 7 in Minneapolis. They are performing in cities such as Seattle, San Francisco, Dallas, and New York. They also went to Latin America in April, with stops in Mexico City, Santiago, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, and Lima. On tour, they are playing songs from their new album DETOX, along with fan favorites. The shows are packed with energy, loud guitars, and Taka’s emotional vocals. This year, they are connecting with fans all over the world again.
