Oh Wonder Information
Oh Wonder is a duo that is London-based and plays in alt-pop. The duo consists of Anthony West and Josephine Vander Gucht. The two mostly play synthpop, electropop, alternative R&B, and indie-pop. They start recording and releasing one song each year for an entire month, beginning from September 2014. All the songs by Oh Wonder in the year 2014 came out as a self-titled debut album on September 4, 2015.
Oh Wonder played sold-out shows in Paris, London, New York, and Los Angeles one week right after their debut album released. This marked the official career beginning of the duo’s touring activity. Since then, to date, Oh Wonder has played 318 headline festivals and shows in around 45 countries. Ultralife was the second album by Oh Wonder, which was released on July 14, 2017. The two albums gained cross-platform success in less time.
The first two songs released by the duo were under its old name, "Wonder Wonder" that later changed to "Oh Wonder." Their first self-titled album sold nearly 1 million copies worldwide, and it is gold-certified in the UK, Singapore, China, Canada, Taiwan, Denmark, whereas platinum in the Philippines and Russia. No One Else Can Wear Your Crown is another album by the duo which is soon to be released.
Oh Wonder also worked as the featured artist in the following projects; "The Way Life Goes" (Lil Uzi Vert featuring Nicki Minaj) 2017 and "Superlove" (Whethan featuring Oh Wonder) 2018. "Fly," "Wide Eyes," "Hello Hello," "Deep the Water," "Give Me Life," "Slow Fade," and a few more are some of the projects for which songwriting and production credits are given to Oh Wonder.
