Of Sea and Stone is an American married duo who met on a famous dating app, Tinder. The couple is best known for its intimate songwriting and polished vocal harmonies. This emerging Americana duo’s sound ranges from hopeful to desperate, joyful to solemn, along with raw and honest lyrics carried by haunting melodies.
Luke Dierker and Morgan Dierker met in January 2014. They quickly discovered that natural vocal chemistry is a perfect match. Soon they began writing together in Columbia, MO, which is Morgan’s hometown. The following week of their meetup on Tinder, the duo performed their first show at Gunter Hans, a small German café located in Columbia. They performed for a few years in Columbia, and after they got married, the couple soon moved to Austin, TX.
Of Sea and Stone recorded its debut album entitled Dark Horse Recording in October 2016. The album was recorded in Franklin, TN, with the help of producer Billy Smiley. Richie Biggs was the mixing engineer. The album features guitarist Brad Rice (Keith Urban), bassist Danny O’Lannerghty, drummer Jared Kneale (Hunter Hayes, Kacey Musgraves), and guitarist Brennan Smiley. The married duo resolved to show every side of love while writing the debut album, the good and the bad. Dark Horse Recording was released on December 1st, 2017.
Of Sea and Stone moved to the Midwest in July 2017 and started touring full time worldwide across the Southeastern U.S. markets and Southwestern. The duo also played the historic Blueberry Hill Duck Room (St. Louis), The Mint in Los Angeles, 12 Today News in Phoenix, the notable Stubb’s BBQ in Austin, and Good Morning San Diego.
