Ali John Meredith-Lacey (August 11, 1991) is a Welsh multi-instrumentalist, producer, sound designer, singer, and songwriter. He is professionally known by his stage name, Novo Amor. He was born in Aberystwyth, Wales. Woodgate, NY, Lacey's debut EP, under the Novo Amor moniker, was released on the Norwegian label Brilliance Records on March 31, 2014. Following the success of the EP, on June 23, 2014, Lacey released the song "Faux" on Dumont Dumont and Brilliance Records, which featured a collaboration with Ed Tullett. The same month Lacey signed with Bucks Music Group, she also signed with UK publisher BDi Music.
Another Novo Amor single, "Callow," came out on November 17, 2014. On January 6, 2015, Nabil directed the music video for a cover of Guns N' Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle" for an AXE/Lynx marketing campaign. In April and May of 2015, Lacey visited Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, where his music was nominated for two honors at the Music Week Sync honors. Also, as Novo Amor, the single "Anchor" came out on October 23, 2015.
On April 15, 2016, the duo's second joint effort, "Alps," was made available to the public. The second EP by Novo Amor, Bathing Beach, was released on May 26, 2017, via AllPoints (Believe Recordings' in-house label). Heiress, the full-length album Lacey and Ed Tullett recorded, was released on All Points on November 10, 2017.
