As of right now, the program is competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference, which is part of the NCAA Division I. Niele Ivey is the current head coach of the Fighting Irish women's basketball team, which plays its home games in the Purcell Pavilion, located within the Edmund P. Joyce Center.
