Nervo Information
Nervo is an Australian DJ duo. The current lineup consists of sisters Miriam and Olivia Nervo. The sisters attended Genazzano FCJ College, a Kew all-girls institution, where they participated in musical performances and other extracurricular activities, including rowing and swimming. In 1999, they finished high school. The Australian Chadwick Models Agency was where the twins' modeling careers started.
Both sisters were offered places in the Opera Australia Academy but ultimately chose to focus on their musical careers. The two joined forces, signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV, and began their careers as songwriters. The song "Negotiate with Love," written by the duo and first recorded by British pop vocalist Rachel Stevens, peaked at #10 on the UK singles chart in 2005.
The pair also recorded the tune "Boobjob" in 2005, which saw significant radio in their home country of Australia. Kesha, Richard Grey, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Ashley Tisdale, and the Pussycat Dolls were just a few artists who benefited from the duo's songwriting. In March of 2010, Nervo and Virgin Records/EMI Music announced a worldwide recording deal that included a collaborative venture to release new artists discovered and produced by Nervo. In October 2021, the Las Vegas mega-club Omnia included the music of Nervo's "Horizon" in a short art film.
