NEEDTOBREATHE became known in 2006 with the release of their debut album, Daylight. Their mix of rock, folk, and soul caught people’s attention right away. The band comes from South Carolina and is led by singer Bear Rinehart. Their sound is full of big choruses, heartfelt lyrics, and strong melodies. Over time, they built a loyal fan base by mixing emotional songs with high-energy live shows. In 2009, their song "Something Beautiful" helped them reach an even bigger audience, and they continued to grow from there.
As the years passed, the band released more albums and maintained their momentum. The Outsiders in 2009, The Reckoning in 2011, and Rivers in the Wasteland in 2014 all had powerful songs that connected with fans. Songs like Brother, Multiplied, and Washed by the Water became fan favorites. Their music often mixes spiritual themes with stories about life, struggle, and hope. They have played with artists like Taylor Swift, Switchfoot, and Ben Rector, and they’ve earned a reputation as one of the best live acts in their genre.
This year, the band is on the road with their new tour called The CAVES World Tour. It follows their 2023 album, CAVES, and includes songs from the record, such as "Dreams" and "Everknown." In March and April, they performed in cities like Tampa, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles. They are also set to play several summer festivals and headline more shows across the US. Their concerts this year feature a full band, rich sound, and the kind of uplifting energy fans have come to love from NEEDTOBREATHE.
