NCT Dream Information
NCT Dream is SM Entertainment's third subunit for the 2016-formed South Korean boy band NCT. Before rebranding in 2020, it was supposed to be the underage NCT unit with an admissions and graduation system, where members would depart once they reached the age of majority (20 in Korean age reckoning, 19 globally).On August 25, 2016, the subunit debuted with the single "Chewing Gum" and consisted of seven members: Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, Mark, Renjun, Jeno, and Jisung.
The financial success of NCT Dream's 2019 EP We Boom led to several accolades, including Bonsang prizes at the 34th Golden Disc prizes and the 2020 Seoul Music Awards, as well as a spot in the top 10 for physical sales in the country. Reload(2020), their fourth Korean-language EP and second and final album as a sextet, garnered over 500,000 pre-orders.
The third studio album by NCT Dream, ISTJ, was released on July 17, 2023. It features ten tracks, the first of which is "Broken Melodies"—the lead single. The six-song EP Dream()scape (pronounced "dream escape") was published on March 25, 2024. The band members playing Fruit Ninja in the accompanying music video for the song "Smoothie" was also published simultaneously.
