Mystic Braves is an American band whose music is defined as pop, rock & roll, psychedelic, and country. The band was founded by Julian Ducatenzeiler & Tony Malacara in 2011 and is currently based in Los Angeles. The lineup of the group consists of Julian Ducantenzeiler – lead vocals, guitar; Cameron Gartung – drums, percussion, electronics; Shane Stotsenberg – guitar, backing vocals; Ignacio Gonzales – organ, guitar, vocals, tambourine; Matteo Arias – bass; and Mikey Whiteside – keyboard, synth, tambourine. Mystic Braves was founded under the name Blackfeet Braves by friends Julian Ducatenzeiler, Dan Solis & Tony Malacara. But later on, the members changed to Mystic Rabbits, and finally Mystic Braves.
Mystic Braves put its debut self-titled record out in 2013 and began gaining significant popularity around the Southern California music scene. The group opened for legendary English rock band The Zombies. In 2014, Mystic Braves released a sophomore album, Desert Island, via Lolipop Records. Days Of Yesteryear was the third album by the group that came out the following year. The album was produced by Rob Campanella (The Quarter After, The Brian Jonestown Massacre).
Another notable studio album by the band is The Great Unknown - 2018, produced by Kyle Mullarky (The Growlers, Allah-Las); along with an EP entitled Please Let Me Know (7") and a compilation album named Mystic Braves / Desert Island (Cass, Comp).
