Morten (May 26, 1982) is a Danish producer and DJ. MORTEN's music continues to play on streaming services worldwide, and he's even worked with David Guetta on some new material. Two of my best friends and I recently released a four-song EP called New Rave, in which we invented the term "Future Rave." More than 400 million listens have heard their futuristic rave sound. 4.7 million people listen to MORTEN every month on Spotify. His Guetta collaboration has been one of the most-played records in the world's clubs for seven weeks.
David Guetta and MORTEN pioneered the 'Future Rave' dance music genre in 2019. This new subgenre of EDM emerged from their need to incorporate cutting-edge sounds into their shows, reflecting their hopes for the genre's future. David and MORTEN have made it their trademark to popularize underground music and culture by adapting its sounds and styles for a wider audience.
The duo's Future Rave fuses electronic dance music (EDM) and underground sounds while constantly innovating. Connecting the dots between the excitement and catchiness of electronic dance music (EDM), the futuristic sounds of techno, and the feeling of trance and (future) house is what Future Rave is all about. As Future Rave, the duo performed at EDC in 2022 as part of a US tour.
