Moon Tooth's trip began at the end of 2012. The previous band of founding members Nick Lee and Ray Marte had disbanded, and they immediately found musical and philosophical common ground with singer John Carbone and bassist Vincent Romanelli. The band immediately began writing and performing. With a tenacious DIY mentality, they broke 100 shows in their first year and immediately gained a fanbase with their aggressive and iconic live performances.
To significant critical praise, the band self-released their first full-length LP, 'Chromaparagon,' in February 2016. The album's success aided the band in obtaining endorsements from Vigier Guitars, Sabian Cymbals, and Ernie Ball Strings. Vic Firth's YouTube channel also included drummer Ray Marte. During Winter NAMM, guitarist Nick Lee frequently performs at the Vigier Guitars booth.
Moon Tooth caught the attention of renowned record producer Machine while touring with Fit For An Autopsy (2017). The producer was so taken by the band's combination of strong, progressive guitars and melodic, soulful vocals that he contacted them directly. He and the band, who had all grown up as Machine fans, instantly began discussing arrangements to collaborate.
