Josh Carling (May 5, 1995) is an English DJ and dubstep producer. He is commonly known as Monxx. He was born in Peterborough, United Kingdom. Carling is best known for his track entitled “The Wonky Song.” He has also composed tracks in the Drum and Bass, Grime, and Hip Hop genres. Monxx is also the founder of the record label named WONXX Promotions. He started his musical career at 14; this was when he began producing UK Grime Instrumentals. He used to sell them online.
Monxx collaborated with Herobust in July 2017 to release a single entitled “Giant Squiddim.” He has also collaborated with Barron, the dubstep producer. Monxx released “The Wonky Song” in December 2017. The single featured Walter Wilde and became one of the most notable riddim-dubstep hits of all time. His first tour to the United States happened in 2017.
Monxx performed at the SXSW Music Festival in 2018. He appeared in the Snails’ Sluggtopia II music festival that same year. His notable singles are “Midnight Hustle,” “Last Chance,” “XO Riddim,” “Hitman,” “Zaddy,” “Survival,” “Headshot,” “Wonk Train,” and “Wonkaholic.”
