Moderat is a German electronic music supergroup. The group's current lineup consists of Sebastian Szary, Sascha Ring, and Gernot Bronserl. ?Moderat's debut EP, At the Cost of Health,? ?was? ?released? ?in? ?2003. Moderat, their debut studio album, was generally well-received. Moderat was chosen as "The Number 1 Live Act Of The Year" in 2009 by Resident Advisor readers. The website's readers chose them as "The #7 Live Act" in 2010. Throughout the summer and fall of 2010, Moderat performed a tour across Europe, primarily at festivals.
The United States Monkeytown Records and Mute labels jointly released Moderat's second album, II, on August 2, 2013, both digitally and physically. "Bad Kingdom," an illustrated movie developed and produced by Pfadfinderei about a young British man exploring a rapacious underbelly in 1966 London, was the first video from II. The third album by Moderat, III, was made available in Germany on March 29, 2016. A Reminder music video was published on YouTube a month prior. Moderat announced on February 9, 2022, that MORE D4TA, their fourth studio album, would be released on May 13, 2022, by Monkeytown Records. The following day, "Fast Land," the album's lead single, and its corresponding music video were both premiered.
