MK - Marc Kinchen Information
Marc Kinchen (MK) (August 3, 1972) is an American remixer, record producer, and DJ. With the singles "Always" and "Love Changes," he reached number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in the US in 1993 and 1994. In November 2013, Defected Records and Warner Music released his remix of Storm Queen's "Look Right Through," which soared to number one on the UK Singles Chart.
Aside from his music career, Kinchen is known for his remixes for other artists, such as Celine Dion's tune "Misled," which became Dion's first number-one Billboard Dance/Club Play chart hit. Sofia Shinas' "The Message" 's remixes peaked at number 20 on the Dance/Club Play chart. He also remixed Jody Watley's hit "Your Love Keeps Working On Me," which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.
Lana Del Rey, Dev, Enrique Iglesias, Sky Ferreira, Ellie Goulding, Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, and Tricky are among the artists remixed and produced for Kinchen. Kinchen's first number one on Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart came in April 2021, when he was featured on Anabel Englund's "Underwater," which he also co-produced.
In March 2014, Kinchen collaborated with Blinded to create music. Kinchen's song "Always" was remixed by British DJ Route 94 in the same year, and it reached number 12 on the UK Singles Chart. He has released a few albums as well, including Defected Presents House Masters: MK (Second Edition) (2013), Defected Presents MK in the House (2013), Defected Presents House Masters: MK (2011), and Surrender (with Alana Simon) (1993).
