Mishka Shubaly is a Canadian author and musician who inspires his audience and readers with the lessons he learned from his own troubled life. Shubaly was born in Ontario, Canada, then moved to the States when young for his father’s job. His childhood went normal, but he had a turbulent teenage life that led to the perplexing darkness. Shubaly, staying at the Liberal Arts College (Simon’s Rock), survived the mass shooting in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, On December 14, 1992, to go home the next day to see his parents getting divorced.
During his teen years, Shubaly worked in a burger joint to make some money while writing tunes in his spare time. The events made him a full-blown alcoholic and narcotic addict. Despite all this, he got enrolled in Columbia University and continued songwriting. He released his first EP, “Such a Long Time,” in 2004, followed by two more EPs till 2006. Later, he released his first full-length album “Steps To Make a Bad Scenario Worse.”
At the age of 32, Shubaly realized the worsening of his condition and became an ultra-runner to sustain sobriety. In April 2011, just months sober, he published his first Kindle Single, “SHIPWRECKED,” which became a digital bestseller. In a memoir, “I Swear I’ll Make It Up To You: A Life On The Low Road,” Shubaly penned all the details of unbelievable obstacles to his road to success.
