Micky and The Motorcars Information
Micky & the Motorcars is an American alternative country band formed in Stanley Idaho, currently based in Austin, Texas. The current lineup of the group includes Bobby Paugh (drums and percussion), Joe Fladger (bass), Pablo Trujillo (pedal steel and lead guitar), Gary Braun (lead & harmony vocals, harmonica, guitars, and mandolin), and Micky Braun (lead vocals and acoustic guitar). So far, they have released nine albums and two live albums.
Micky and Gary Braun are the two founding members of the band. They are the sons of western swing and country musician, Muzzie Braun. Both of them had been a major part of the Muzzie Braun & the Little Braun Brothers band. When their brothers Willy and Cody left the band and formed Reckless Kelly, the other two formed their band. The other group members were the childhood friends of Micky and Gary.
Since its formation, Micky & the Motorcars have undergone numerous lineup changes. Nevertheless, the group collaborates with Reckless Kelly every year to host the Braun Brothers Reunion in Idaho. It is an impeccable musical celebration where different artists from different genres participate.
Micky & the Motorcars has released a few notable albums throughout its musical career including Which Way from Here (2002), Ain’t It for the Money (October 26, 2004), Careless (February 6. 2007), Naïve (July 29, 2008), and Live at Billy Bob’s Texas (November 10, 2009).
