Michael Lington (June 11, 1969) is a Danish-American contemporary producer, recording artist, songwriter, and saxophonist. He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. Lington has 25 tracks that have reached the top 40 on the contemporary jazz radio charts for Billboard and Radio & Records (R&R). He has published 11 solo albums. Lington has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Joan Sebastian, Brian Culbertson, Chuck Loeb, William Bell, Cristian Castro, Booker T. Jones, Michael Bolton, Barry Manilow, Aaron Neville, Mike Love, Randy Crawford, Bobby Caldwell, Kenny Lattimore, Ryan Shaw, Little Richard, The Dap-Kings, Ray Parker, Jr., and Taylor Dayne.
Lington has played for the Danish royal family many times, including at the royal wedding of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary Donaldson at Fredensborg Castle. His grandfather was the Danish bandleader and composer Otto Lington.
Lington's 2012 album Pure, released on Trippin 'N' Rhythm Records, featured appearances from Michael Bolton, Jonathan Butler, Lee Ritenour, Jeff Golub, and former 'American Idol' and 'Tonight Show' bandleader Rickey Minor. The result was "Road Trip," a radio single that peaked in the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Billboard Hot 100 Instrumental Songs chart.
