Marielle Kraft is an American singer-songwriter and storyteller from Delaware with her music having been defined as pop and indie. She is well-known for displaying craftsmanship beyond her years as well as following suit to artists like Julia Michaels, Alec Benjamin, and Taylor Swift. Kraft taught herself to play the guitar at 16. She soon began writing songs, and her gift for storytelling is evident through her use of raw emotions, salient detail, and poignant word choice to describe moments.
Marielle Kraft has self-released two original EPs, as well as three official music videos and four singles. The Gibraltar Sessions (2016) is her Live EP that features a stripped-down delivery of 5 original songs. Her indie-pop single, “How Far You Feel” was released in 2017 and collected nearly half a million streams across different platforms. Kraft plays at venues spread across the Mid-Atlantic, regularly. She shares stages with names as big as Ava Max, Jake Miller, and Betty Who.
In spring 2018, Kraft was crowned Grand Champion of the Mid-Atlantic Singer-Songwriter Competition. In June of the same year, she delivered a TEDx Talk at Firefly 2018 in which she discussed the importance of honesty that is heavily rooted in her songwriting process.
Some of her other notable discographies are “Test Drive,” “Toothbrush,” “Better Without You” EP single, and “The Deep End.” She has shared her influences to be Chelsea Cutler, Betty Who, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Ben Rector, Jeremy Zucker, Wrabel, Lorde, Gavin James, Maisie Peters, Johnnyswim, and Maggie Rogers.
