Lynda Lemay Information
Lynda Lemay (July 25, 1966) is a Canadian francophone singer and songwriter born in Portneuf, Quebec. She is a descendant of Zacharie Cloutier through her mother. Lemay won several awards in her career. After winning the regional awards in 1989, she went to France and began touring regularly in France and Quebec, including performances at the Paris Olympia. She released an album, “Live,” nominated as one of the best-selling Francophone albums at the Juno Awards in 2000. In 2011, Lemay released the only compilation album of her career entitled “Best of.”
Lemay released her debut album in 1990 entitled “Nos reves.” Since the release of her first album, she has been regularly releasing more music. Other notable albums include Y (1994), La visite (1994), Lynda Lemay (1998), Live (1999), Du coq à L'âme (2000), Les lettres rouges (2000), Les secrets des oiseaux (2003), Un paradis quelque part (2005), Un éternel hiver (2005), Ma signature (2006), Allo c’est moi (2008), Blessée (2008), Feutres of pastels (2013), Décibels et des silences (2016), il était onze fois (2020), and Des milliers de plumes (2020).
Lynda Lemay has won and been nominated for several notable awards, including 4 Felix Award nominations (1995), Concert of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Pop Album of the Year (Y), Felix Award winner (1998) for the Female Artist of the Year, and Felix Award winner (2000) for Artist with the best recognition outside Quebec.
