Laura Pergolizzi (March 18, 1981) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. She is professionally known by her stage name, LP born in Long Island, New York. As a result of David Lowery of Cracker catching LP live, they were featured on the secret track "Cinderella" off their 1998 album Gentleman's Blues. They provided backing vocals on two additional songs.
After that, in 2001, Lowery produced LP's debut album, Heart-Shaped Scar, for Koch Records. Lightswitch Records released Suburban Sprawl & Alcohol, LP's second album, in June 2004. In June 2019, as part of the promotion for his new album Heart to Mouth, LP did an exclusive interview with MC Dergi (Dergi), Turkey's largest digital music magazine, and appeared on the cover of a magazine for the first time in Turkey.
After LP gave an interview to a Turkish publication, he then played three sold-out concerts in Istanbul, Ezmir, and Ankara. A pair of albums titled "How Low Can You Go" and "The One That You Love" were released that year. Albums titled "One Last Time," "Goodbye," and "Angels" all saw their initial releases in 2021. All five tracks from Churches, an album released on December 3, were made available as digital singles. LP and Imanbek also shared the single "Fighter" in 2021.
