Lovelytheband is an American rock band founded in 2016 Los Angeles, California. Sam Price is the drummer; Mitchy Collins is the vocalist; Jordan Greenwald is the guitarist. The band is mainly known for their track "Broken," which made many U.S. Billboard charts. At the first meeting at a West Hollywood nightclub, vocalist Mitchy Collins, guitarist Jordan Greenwald, and drummer Sam Price started the band shortly afterward.
Collins wrote his band's first track, "Broken," in collaboration with producer Christian Medice, Songland competitor, and Monument Records artist Sam DeRosa. Published in April 2017, "Broken" confirmed that Lovelytheband is among the most thrilling indie-pop acts of the 2010s and shot sky high up the Billboard Alternative Songs list. Apart from topping the Alternative chart, "Broken" offered the band its first experience with Top 40 success.
The band announced their next album, Conversations with Myself About You, on July 2, 2020; it was available on August 28, 2020. It comprises the tracks "Loneliness for Love," "I Should Be Happy," "IDWGTYP," and "Buzz Cut." The band debuted the track "Heartbreak of America" on October 30, 2020, stressing American issues such as gun violence, the presidential contest 2020, drug misuse, etc. Mark Foster, the front person of Foster the People, co-wrote the song.
