Los Pasteles Verdes is an American Latin pop group. The band's current lineup consists of Hugo Acuna, Dubbie Acuna, Richie Acuna, Kike Games, and Victor Hugo Acuna Jr. The band originated in Chimbote, Peru. They have performed in Mexico for many years. Los Pasteles Verdes was founded in 1973 by guitarist Victor Hugo Acuna along with the keyboardist Cesar Acuna. They both are brothers and previously played together in Los Bankers and The Jeekstones.
Both brothers first formed Los Pasteles Verdes with members including Aldo Guibovich (singer), German Laos (singer), Jorge Luis Principe (drummer), Miguel Moreno (bassist), and Juan Vasquez (percussionist). The band’s first hit was “Angelito Negros” which did well across Latin America. It preceded the release of their debut album, Recuerdos de Una Noche. Their later hits included “Esclavo y Amo” and “Hipocresia.”
Los Pasteles Verdes made a significant impact on the Mexican-American and Mexican music markets during the late 1970s. They were based out of Mexico for part of the 1970s and 1980s. In 2007, the group went on touring Japan. Their notables songs include “Mi amor imposible”, “Ya Es Muy Tarde”, “Reloj”, “El reloj”, “Hoy Que Llueve”, “Baby”, and “En Mi Viejo San Juan."
