Los Amigos Invisibles (The Invisible Friends) is a Venezuelan band consisting of José Rafael Torres, Julio Briceño, and Juan Manuel Roura. The band was founded in 1991 and played a blend of acid jazz, disco, and funk mixed with Latin rhythms.
In 1995, Los Amigos Invisibles released their first debut album, entitled, “A Typical and Autoctonal Venezuelan Dance Band,” which got a huge success in their home country. In 1998, they released their second album, “The New Sound of the Venezuelan Gozadera.” The band’s other famous albums are Arepa 3000: A Venezuelan Journey into Space, En Una Noche tan Linda Como ésta, Acústico, The Venezuelan Zinga Son, Vol. 1, Super Pop Venezuela, Commercial, Not So Commercial, Repeat After Me, and El Paradise.
Arepa 3000 is considered as one of Los Amigos Invisibles' best albums because it ranked no.15,292 with a total ranking score of 89 in the overall greatest album chart. Some of their albums, including EI Paradise, Repeat After Me, Not So Commercial, Superpop Venezuela, and Arepa 3000 got nominated for the Grammy Award For Best Latin, Pop, Rock, or Urban Album. At the 2014 Pepsi Venezuela Music Awards, they were named Pop Artist of the Year.
