Lorie Line Information
Lorie Lina is an American pianist, composer, and performer of the classical genre of music. By the age of 5, Lorie was already playing the piano in her home town of Reno, Nevada. In her teen years, she participated in various piano competitions and won quite a number of them.
She later joined the University of Nevada, where she graduated with a B.A. in Music, Piano Performance. After her graduation, she got married then moved to Minneapolis, where she was employed as a pianist for Dayton’s department stores.
As customers came into the stores for their shopping, Lorie began slowing, winning them over with her music, and her fan base started to grow. In the last thirty years, Lorie Line has become a name to reckon with in as far as published arrangers and composers are concerned.
She has written and arranged music, publishing more than 50 books of sheet music. She has also released over 50 CDs and 44 albums as her independent label. In terms of commercial success, Lorie has sold over six million albums and takes tours performing between 60 and 80 concerts annually.
Lorie also has a Pandora radio station where her music is ‘spinned’ about two million times each week. She has also produced three TV specials for PBS. in 2002; she won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award under the entertainment category.
In 2015 Lorie Line reached a new feat of being inducted into the Minnesota Hall of Fame. Her name is now besides that of legend performers like Prince, Bob Dylan, and Judy Garland.
