LEON Information
Lotta Lindgren (February 26, 1993) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. She was born in Stockholm, Sweden. She is professionally known by her stage name, Leon. Her mother is a cellist, and her father is a composer and director, so music has always been a big part of her life. When Léon was a teenager, she took the helm of a hip-hop and soul band, and in 2015, she went solo with the help of her producing companion, Agrin Rahmani.
Her debut EP, Treasure, featured the hit song "Tired of Talking," which garnered instant attention, garnering praise from music industry insiders like Chris Anokute and mentions from artists like Katy Perry (who tweeted, "She's one to watch! Millions of music streams were on various streaming services because it had gone viral.
The 31st installment of Eurosonic Noorderslag took place in Groningen, Netherlands, in October 2016, and Léon was there to perform. On March 3, 2017, she dropped her second EP, For You, and in October of the same year, she dropped another four-song EP titled Surround Me.
In March 2019, Léon published her self-titled debut studio album through her own LÉON Recordings in collaboration with BMG. Singles for "Baby Don't Talk," "Falling," and "You And I," the album's most successful cut, were released in advance of the album. In October 2020, after releasing several songs like "And It Breaks My Heart" and "Chasing a Feeling," Léon finally released her second studio album.
