Legends of Motown is a musical tribute that beautifully recreates the sounds and looks of classic Motown songs performed by a 16-piece ensemble. The show provides outstanding choreography, brilliant costumes, and wonderful voices for a remarkable presentation.
Berry Gordy, Jr. started Motown Records in 1959 and was first housed in Detroit. Its crossover success in including African Americans in pop music gained it recognition. The encouragement of some of the most talented musicians to keep a well-groomed look and exact choreography appealing to mainstream culture helped them grow.
Motown helped loved musicians like Diana Ross, The Supremes, The Temptations, and Stevie Wonder become well-known. Through incredible tribute events, Motown's music has gone down in history and continues today.
