Last Dinosaurs Information
Last Dinosaurs is an Australian indie rock band. The group's current lineup consists of Dan Koyama, Michael Sloane, Sean Caskey, and Lachlan Caskey. The band's origins may be traced back to high school when Sean and Dan discovered they loved music and decided to start a band under the name The Cairos. Multiple Australian radio stations, notably Triple J, praised the band upon releasing their 2010 EP Back from the Dead and their 2012 full-length album In a Million Years.
The band is under contract with independent Australian label Dew Process and UK label Fiction Records. The Universal Music Group is responsible for the international distribution of Last Dinosaurs. Last Dinosaurs' second album, Wellness, was released on August 28, 2015. "Evie" and "Apollo" were released as singles before the album's debut. They followed up 2018's "Dominos" and "Eleven," their two single releases, with the release of their third album, Yumeno Garden, on October 5, 2018.
The group decided to forego high-budget studio production because they were ready to take control of their sound. They acknowledged that there were aspects of their earlier albums they wished they could go back and change or that they should have kept doing despite what was ultimately released. The band self-produced nearly all of "Yumeno Garden," with some assistance only here and there.
