Kid Bloom Information
Kid Bloom, a Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist debuted in 2016 with a sound and aesthetic rooted in electronic, psychedelic, and '70s and '80s pop. After quietly erupting with several small albums, Kid Bloom made a splash with the release of the critically acclaimed Blood Sugar EP in 2020.
The ensemble was founded in 2015 by Kloser, who is primarily responsible for the writing and production. Kid Bloom published their debut EP, A Different State of Mind, in 2016. They cite many inspirations, including Tame Impala, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Big Star, and David Bowie. The title track received an abundance of streams, and soon Kloser and company were in high demand domestically and overseas. The next year, the disco-inspired A Long Kiss Goodbye EP was released. The band's retro/futuristic sound aesthetic was developed and defined in 2019's Lemonhead EP and 2020's transient Blood Sugar. "Control," a funky psych-pop track, was released in 2021.
