Kiarra Saito-Beckman Information
Kiarra Saito-Beckman is a young Vietnamese-American violinist from Cleveland, Ohio. She has done her master’s from McGill University, where she studied violin performance under Jinjoo Cho. Kiarra Saito-Beckman completed her bachelor’s degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied along with Jan Mark Sloman and Jaime Laredo. She has received numerous awards and won several competitions since she has started her career. In 2017, she won the Cooper International Violin Competition.
In 2015, she earned first place in the National Music Teacher National Association (MTNA) Senior Strings Competition. The competition was held in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was named the first prize winner of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra’s National Young Artist Competition in South Carolina, receiving the PepsiCo National Young Artist of the Year award. Kiarra Saito-Beckman was a semi-finalist in the Stulberg International Competition in May 2016.
Kiarra Saito-Beckman has made several guest appearances with many orchestras throughout her career, including the Coeur d’ Alene Symphony Orchestra, Charleston Orchestra, Garland Symphony, and Symphony Arlington, and the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra. She has also attended many music programs and festivals across the United States as well as abroad.
Kiarra Saito-Backman has performed with big names of the industry such as Lawrence Dutton, Peter Willey, Paul Watkins, David Ying, Phillip Ying, Ronald Copes, Belcea Quartet, Tong Wei-Dong, Haik Kazazyan, Ivan Zenaty, Jennifer Koh, Joseph Silverstein, Cho-Liang Lin, Arnold Steinhardt, Pierre Amoyal, and Robert Chen.
