Hailing from Tel Aviv, a city with an astounding lineage of dance music greats, including Guy Mantzur, Guy Gerber, Shlomi Aber, Sahar Z, and confidant Guy J, this wunderkind has carved out a path of his own while remaining true to his heritage. He is content to bear the pressure that comes with lofty praise. Khen has a unique sound that cuts across genres, with a mesmerizing and emotionally charged style that fuses early 2000s progressive with house beats and parts of modern techno.
Going back to the beginning, Khen was introduced to dance music by his older brother when he was very young. Khen, 6, mixed records using two tape recorders when he wasn't practicing the piano. He had yet to blow out the candles on his 9th birthday when he first stood in front of a set of Technics 1210s.
He was urged to begin spending time in the studio at 11 and endowed with an almost unnerving producing talent. He was mesmerized by the process and chose to spend his time in front of a Moog synth. The Tel Aviv house and techno community began to buzz, and the atmosphere grew impatient for the young genius to perform his productions live. He complied and, at age 15, performed at Tel Aviv's storied Dome club for the first time.
