FISHER - DJ Information
Paul Nicholas Fisher is an Australian music producer, better known by his stage name Fisher (stylized as FISHER). The 2018 ARIA Awards and the 61st Annual Grammy Awards recognized his solo work "Losing It" as the Best Dance Release and the Best Dance Recording nominee.
Fisher was a member of the DJ team Cut Snake. Leigh "Sedz" Sedley, a fellow surfer, helped form the band. The two friends began DJing together while competing on the professional surfing circuit. Later, Fisher struck out on his own, using the stage name Fisher and releasing a string of dance music singles.
Fisher published his first single, "Ya Kidding," in June of 2017; his debut EP, "Oi Oi," with the songs "Stop It" and "Ya Didn't," was released in November of 2017. Fisher dropped "Crowd Control" in March of 2018. The 2018 Triple J Hottest 100 ranked "Crowd Control" at position #116.
Fisher's "You Little Beauty," published on May 10, 2019, went straight to the top of the Dance Club Songs list, becoming his second consecutive No. 1.
The 2019 edition of Triple J's annual Hottest 100 chart placed "You Little Beauty" at position 53. The single "Freaks" from Fisher's EP was released on March 20, 2020. The EP and its follow-up song, "Wanna Go Dancin'," came out on March 31.
