Kelsea Ballerini Information
Kelsea Nicole Ballerini is a country-pop singer and songwriter from the US born September 12, 1993. She spent her childhood in Knoxville. Ballerini enrolled in dancing courses at Premiere Dancing Studio when she was three. Ballerini trained for ten years in ballet until she finally gave it up. She participated in both church and school choruses. Ballerini composed a song for her mom when she was just 12 years old.
At the young age of 19, Ballerini got a recording contract with Black River Entertainment. The song "Love Me As You Mean It" was her first commercial release the same year (2014). The song made its Country AirPlay chart debut in October.
Ballerini's career now includes two additional albums: 2017's Unapologetically and 2020's Kelsea. She has been nominated for and awarded several prestigious honors, including Billboard's Women in Music's Rising Star award (2015), the ACM's New Female Vocalist of the Year award (2016), and Radio Disney's Favorite Country Artist and Favorite Country Song awards, respectively, in 2017.
On July 7, 2022, the music video for the song debuted. The promotional track "Love is a Cowboy" and its accompanying music video were released on July 15, 2022. Rolling Up the Welcome Mat, a short film and extended play by Ballerini was confirmed for release on February 14, 2023. On the March 5, 2023, edition of Saturday Night Live, she performed "Blindsided" and "Penthouse" to promote the EP.
