K-LOVE Fan Awards Information
Artists including TobyMac, Jeremy Camp, and Francesca Battistelli were on hand at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, on February 13, 2013, for the announcement of K-Love's first annual K-Love Fan Awards, the first fan-voted awards event in Christian music history. Voting was scheduled to commence in May, with the winners being announced in a ceremony at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on June 1, 2013, hosted by Duck Dynasty stars Phil, Kay, Jase, and Missy Robertson.
K-Love held the awards ceremony in Nashville since it is "home to the faith-based entertainment industry." K-Love announced the award nominations and performers on May 1, 2013, citing criteria such as airtime, spins, impact, and overall performance as criteria for nomination. After a successful run, the awards presentation ended on June 2, 2013.
In the 2016 K-Love Fan Awards run-up, K-Love allowed fans to cast votes online to choose the official nominees for the first time in January 2016. The K-Love Fan Awards received nominations for Special Event Coverage, Lighting, and Set Design at the 30th Annual Midsouth Emmy Awards, which took place in February 2016. Lighting and set design for the K-Love Fan Awards were honored with Midsouth Emmys.
