JSTJR is a DJ and producer hailing from New England. He first gained fame as the US ambassador of Buraka Som Sistema’s zouk bass movement in the US. JSTJR presents his music with the help of imagery and emotion rather than labels and derivative sub-genres. This producer has generated a massive global sound following walks into the most thumping nightclubs from Lisbon to Los Angeles to Lima. His sound has earned him many releases on top labels relevant to dance music. Some of the notable ones are Fool’s Gold, Insomniac, Mad Decent, and SMOG.
JSTJR has forged a love for regional sounds picking them up from around the world. He combined that with his inherent tendencies for experimental electronic and hip hop production. His hybrid, unique, and inclusive approach to dance music has earned him nods from an elite group of producers such as Dillon Francis, GTA, Skrillex, A-Trak, and Diplo. Some of the other notable associated acts include Furo, Happy Colors, DJR, Brukout, and Saint.
JSTJR championed his global bass sounds in 2017 across Australia, China, North America, and India. In 2018, he went on a nationwide bus tour and attended some of the biggest festivals in North America. He was also part of several releases in the pipeline dropping that started in Spring on Insomniac Records.
