Joshua Michael Garrels (September 25, 1980) is an American songwriter, singer, composer, and producer. He is professionally known as Josh Garrels. He is from South Bend, Indiana, and is well-known for combining other musical elements with traditional folk music. He had also explored the nontraditional Christian themes.
Garrels co-founded the Small Voice Records that was his recording label. He successfully released several major albums for himself under his record label. He also collaborated with the music collective company named “Mason jar Music.” They wanted to film the music-documentary movie which they named “The Sea in Between.” Mason Jar and Garrels traveled to the remote Mayne Island, where they had to perform music on several beautiful locations of Mayne. His single “Don’t Wait For Me” was featured on American Idol on January 29, 2014.
Garrels has been invited for a few notable interviews so far, such as NPR (December 26, 2013), InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (October 17, 2013), Relevant (April 8., 2013), and The Huffington Post (March 26, 2013). His notable studio albums released so far in his entire career include Stone Tree (2002), Underquiet (2003), Over Oceans (2006), 2015 Sampler (2015), The Light Came Down (2016), Peace To All Who Enter Here (2020) and many others.
