Jonathan Terrell Information
Jonathan Terrell is an American singer and songwriter from Austin, Texas. He had a deep interest in music from a very young age. Terrell migrated to Austin in 2006 and began anchoring himself firmly in the city’s infamous music scene as a beloved country and folk songwriter. He also trailed close to his childhood heroes, such as Townes Van Zandt and Kris Kristofferson. Terrell’s electric and sweaty live shows spin honky-tonk dance floors where he quickly whips heads around to reveal his explosive frontman and a bold lyricist with the prowess of “Springsteenian.”
Terrell released his debut solo LP entitled, Trials & Stimulations in 2014. Soon after this, he began working on his second recording entitled “Past the Lights of Town,” released in 2015. He paused his solo career for some time and shifted his entire focus towards his rock n’ roll side project named, Not in the Face. The project signed a record deal with Electric Factory Records in 2008 and recorded their debut album entitled “Bikini.” They also recorded “Brass Tracks” in 2010, a successful EP with legendary producers Garth Richardson and Bob Ezrin.
After the success of “Past the Lights of Town,” Terrell made his way into several sold-out shows and tours in the United Kingdom and France. His other notable solo albums include Color Me Lucky (2016), Color Me Luck (Gold VHS Remix), Never Makes a Sound (2020), and Give It Time (2020).
