Jon McLaughlin Information
Jonathan McLaughlin (September 27, 1982) is an American singer, songwriter, pianist, guitarist, and record producer. He was born and raised in Anderson, Indiana, and went to Highland High School. Later, McLaughlin attended Anderson University to study music. His music is classified as pop and pop-rock. McLaughlin began his official career in 2003 with the release of his independent album entitled Up Until Now. This album made him the first artist to get signed to the school's record label, Orangehaus Records. It was later renamed Orangehaus Entertainment.
In 2004, McLaughlin released a self-titled album and began touring throughout the Midwest. He recorded an EP with eight songs, entitled Songs I Wrote and Later Recorded in 2005. At the same time, McLaughlin was expanding his fan base by performing at Timber Wolf Lake, a Young Life camp. His first album there was Jon McLaughlin. Soon he began touring with some notable artists such as Dave Barnes and Matt Wertz. After signing a deal with Island Records in 2005, McLaughlin increased his presence at musical venues and festivals.
McLaughlin performed at Feeling Better Than Everfine (Cleveland, OH), Milwaukee Summerfest (Milwaukee, WI), Lollapalooza (Chicago, IL), Waterfest (Oshkosh, WI), and Northwest State College Fest (Archbold, OH). He has also toured with some big names, including O.A.R., Sister Hazel, Cowboy Mouth, Kelly Clarkson, Paolo Nutini, and Marc Broussard. A few of his other well-received albums are Forever If Ever 2011, Holding My Breath 2013, and Angst & Grace 2018. McLaughlin also appeared in a few hit films: Enchanted 2007, Atlantians in America 2012, and My Life in Real Time 2013.
