John 00 Fleming Information
John Fleming (April 1, 1969) is an English DJ and trance producer. He was born in Sunderland, UK. Ministry of Sound, Deconstruction Records, Logic Records, and 3 Beat Music are just a few record labels that have released his work. In addition, he owns and manages Joof Recordings. He's played at various venues, from expensive spots like Cream and Gatecrasher to the more underground Godskitchen and Ministry of Sound.
Fleming was diagnosed with lung cancer in his early twenties. Fleming began with goa music but later shifted to heavier trance music and, ultimately, psychedelic trance. Artists like Jean Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream from the '80s, as well as more modern bands like Astral Projection, Airwave, and Trifonic, are his primary musical inspirations. His weekly mix rebranded as JOOF Radio (formerly Global Trance Grooves), airs on Digitally Imported.
John handed over the reins of running JOOF Recordings to Gary Delaney and Daniel Lesden, A&Rs since 2015. John renamed "JOOF V2" (the label's virtual second home) to "JOOF Mantra" (a central location for the label's signature psytrance music) at the start of 2016. In 2016, a new label called "JOOF Aura" emerged, specializing in Progressive House music with a trance-like quality.
