Jody Nardone Trio Information
Jody Nardone Trio is an American group formed by Jody Nardone, an American pianist, vocalist, educator, and composer. Born and raised in New Jersey, Nardone started his music career while attending junior high school studying with Keith MacDonald (jazz pianist and educator). From there, he started his relationship with jazz. Nardone sang at weddings along with his dad’s band and began writing songs before entering his teens.
Nardone teamed up with friends while still in high school and forged a musical bond lasting 17 years. The band was called Pandora’s Box and later was renamed Timberwolf. Nardone propelled the group with his heartfelt songwriting, rollicking piano style, and distinct tenor vocals. The group also toured the east coast college circuit and regularly performed to soldout crowds in New York City. The group relocated to Nashville in 1994.
Nardone himself has performed with several notable artists such as Annie Sellick, Chester Thompson, Rod McGaha, Rahsaan Barber & Everyday Magic, Jeff Coffin, Dave Valentine, Rufus Reid, Larry Carlton, Jon Feddis, and Clark Terry. After some weekly stints in trumpeter in 2003, the Jody Nardone Trio came into being. In November 2013, the trio released its debut CD entitled “Lights Will Guide You Home.” The group continues to perform in the Nashville area regularly.
