Jobe Fortner is an American country singer and songwriter from Dahlonega, Georgia. He grew up singing hymns in church with his family. He later moved to Monroe, GA, along with his family, and developed an interest in football. Music took a back seat for some time, but it returned to his life during high school. Fortner picked up the guitar and started to take lessons from his English teacher. Playing football was still his dream that led him to Emory and Henry College in Virginia. Ultimately, Fortner realized that music was his true calling, so he began spending time learning this craft.
Initially, Fortner played small shows wherever he could. Soon, he caught Bradley Jordan's attention (Peachtree Entertainment), who instantly put Fortner on with Luke Combs. The two began to tour together after their first show. In February 2016, Fortner made his next move and relocated to Nashville to make a name for himself. He released a debut self-titled EP in early 2018. It was a hit and garnered the attention of other notable national acts. Fortner started to open gigs for notable artists such as Toby Keith, Cadillac Three, Frankie Ballard, Riley Green, Whiskey Myers, Cody Johnson, and Dwight Yoakam.
