Joaquin Sabina (February 12, 1949) is a Spanish poet, singer, musician, and composer. He was born in Ubeda. He's got 14 studio albums, two live albums, and three compilation albums out there. While in high school, he studied works by authors like Fray Luis de León, Jorge Manrique, José Hierro, Marcel Proust, James Joyce, and Herbert Marcuse, thanks to the influence of the Salesians of Don Bosco.
For his live albums, he has collaborated with both single artists and bands, such as Javier Krahe and Alberto Pérez in La mandrágora and vice versa and Joan Manuel Serrat in Dos pájaros de un Tiro (Two Birds with one Stone), respectively. After suffering a stroke in 2001, Sabina went into a profound depression that prevented him from performing for four years.
After getting better, he released his eighteenth album, Alivio de Luto, in November 2005. His next album, Vinagre y rosas, came out in 2009. His most recent CD, La Orquesta Del Titanic, was published in 2012 and features Joan Manuel Serrat. Sabina married Jimena Coronado in a small wedding on June 29, 2020, in Madrid.
