Jidenna is a sensational Nigerian American rapper, songwriter, singer, and record producer who belongs from Nigeria. In the year 2015, Jidenna came out with two blockbuster singles, "Classic Man" and "Yoga." These songs also promoted Janelle Monáe's label Wondaland Records' compilation EP The Eephus with Epic Records. In the year 2017, Jidenna released his debut album called “The Chief.” He album proved to be very successful for Jidenna. It peaked at number 38 on the Billboard 200. Another single was also nominated for 58th Grammy Awards.
Jidenna started his music career when he signed off to Janelle Monáe's Wondaland Records label and distributed through Epic Records. He has also collaborated with many different artists, including; Roman GianArthur, St. Beauty, Deep Cotton, and Janelle Monáe herself. When Jidenna released his first official single called ‘Classic Man; which featured GianArthur, it gained massive attention. His song reached number 49 on Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.
