Jesse and Joy Information

Jesse & Joy are a Mexican pop duo formed in 2005 by Jesse and Joy. They both are brother and sister. Jesse (December 31, 1982) is Jesse Eduardo Huerta Uecke, and Joy (June 20, 1986) is Tirzah Joy Huerta Uecke. The siblings were born in Mexico City. When they were 18 and 15 years old, respectively, they started writing songs and music along with their father.

On April 18, 2005, Jesse & Joy were signed with the Warner Music Latina group. Joy plays the drums, guitar, and lead vocals, whereas Jesse plays piano and guitar. In 2006, the duo released their debut album named “Esta Es Mi Vida” through Warner Music Mexico. The debut single “Espacio Sideral” included in this album was certified gold by the Association Mexicana de Productores de Fonogramas y Videogramas (AMPROFON). The album reached the top twenty on the Mexican Album Chart.

Jesse & Joy released the Esto Es Lo Que Soy, an EP, in 2008. The album featured “Ya No Quiero,” “Volver.”’ “Espacio Sideral,” “Llegaste Tu,” and “Esto Es Lo Que Soy.” Their second studio album entitled “Electricidad” was released in 2009. The album was certified gold by the AMPROFON. The duo always focused on quality releases and provided its audience with the best music throughout their career.

Jesse & Joy continue to release new projects over time. They released their third studio album in 2011 named “Con Quién Se Queda El Perro? And 4th studio album “Un Besito Mas” on December 4, 2015. In 2016, the duo gained attention by releasing their first dual-language self-titled album. The album contained English versions of songs from their past four studio releases, such as “Corre!”, “Espacio Sideral,” “Ecos de Amor,” among others. In 2019, Jesse & Joy collaborated with Colombian sensation J Balvin for the single, “Mañana es Too Late.” The track was written by the duo, along with Poo Bear. "Mañana es Too Late" reached number one in México. They released their latest album on May 8, 2020, Aire (Versión Día). Aire (Versión Día) reached the status of gold by RIAA. the latest singles by the pop due are "Lo Nuestro Vale Más" (2020), "Alguien Más" (2020) and "Respirar" (2022).

At the 2017 American Grammy Award ceremony, they received recognition with their first Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album, honoring Un Besito Más. The duo also received the 2018 Vision Award at the 31st Annual Hispanic Heritage Awards.
